The Swiss-Brazilian School was invited to participate in the festivities commemorating German immigration in Paraná. One of the events took place at the Witch`s Enchanted House in the German Woods, located in the Schäffer Garden District. The classes of the 3rd grade of Elementary School represented the College for this, presenting two songs in German, one of them a greeting song called Hallo, hallo zusammen, hallo du and the other song, the theme of the German Woods, Hänsel und Gretel. This joyous moment occurred on August 10.

The students were able to perform the songs to an audience that has no contact with the German language or culture. Thus, the students promoted the dissemination of the values that are worked on in school, such as respect and cultural diversity. Students from another school in Curitiba that were also invited to the event were able to learn together with our students the lyrics, the melody as well as the gestures of the greeting song. It was a moment of leisure and pride in showing how hard they had rehearsed.

Then everyone present listened to the story told by the witch. At the end of the tour, the kids were able to have a picnic in the park and enjoy a moment of group leisure.
