Admission Procedure

Admission Process

Infant Education – Nursery I, II e III / Kindergarden I e II

New enrolments will be made according to the order of place reservations. The minimum ages for admission are:

  • Nursery II – 2 years old during the first semester of the school year

  • Nursery III – 3 years old during the first semester of the school year

  • Kindergarden I – 4 years old during the first semester of the school year

  • Kindergarden II – 5 years old during the first semester of the school year

Junior School (EF1) Year 1

New enrolments will be made according to the order of place reservations. The minimum age for admission is 6 to be reached during the school year.

Junior School (EF1) Year 2 – Year 5

New enrolments will be made according to the order of place reservations. The minimum ages for admission are:

  • Year 2 – 7 years to be reached during the school year.

  • Year 3 – 8 years to be reached during the school year.

  • Year 4 – 9 years to be reached during the school year.

  • Year 5 – 10 years to be reached during the school year.

From Year 2 onwards, the enrolment of students may be made on the basis of previous school reports and pedagogical evaluations.

If necessary, a program of adaptation is available for students who are not fluent in Portuguese or German.

Middle School (EF2) Year 6 – Year 9

Following a pedagogical interview, the admission of students is based on previous school reports and evaluations in Portuguese and Mathematics. Depending on the year group, an evaluation in English may be required. For students with prevous knowledge of German, a placement test will also be required.

For approved candidates, the school offers a program of adaptation in German or Portuguese if needed.

High School (EM) Grades 1 – 4

Following a pedagogical interview, all students will have an individual interview with the High School Coordinator, in which previous school reports will be examined. All interested students will be evaluated in Mathematics, Portuguese, English and other subjects, at the discretion of the school.

Students without previous knowledge of Portuguese, German or French are admitted only in Grade 1 of High School.

For approved candidates, the school offers a program of adaptation in Portuguese if required.

Documents required for enrolment

Infant Education and Junior School Year 1

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s birth certificate;

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s identity document;

  • Authenticated copy of an identity document (RG, RNE or CPF) of the adult responsible for payment;

  • Copy of vaccination card;

  • 2 recent 3×4 photos of the student.

Junior School Years 2-5

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s birth certificate;

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s identity document;

  • Authenticated copy of an identity document (RG, RNE or CPF) of the adult responsible for payment;

  • Copy of vaccination card;

  • 2 recent 3×4 photos of the student;

  • Transfer statement of from previous school;

  • School records;

  • financial declaration from previous school.

Middle School Years 6-9 and High School

  • Authorization of enrolment from the Coordinator;

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s birth certificate;

  • Authenticated copy of the student’s identity document;

  • Authenticated copy of an identity document (RG, RNE or CPF) of the adult responsible for payment;

  • 2 recent 3×4 photos of the student;

  • Transfer statement of  from previous school;

  • School records;

  • Declaration of financial discharge from previous school.

* For students coming from abroad:

  • Authentication of School records by “Apostila de Haia”.

  • Students from counties that are not signatory should bring the Documentation authenticated by the Brazilian Consulate in the country of origin;

  • Official translations of the above documentation (except for documents in Spanish).
